Last night Ingrid was awake and screaming for 90 minutes in the middle of the night. Then she slept an hour and then cried for another hour. None of the usual calming methods worked – rocking, patting, shushing, singing, holding. She just cried until she was done and then she went to sleep. And this evening she has done the same thing twice already. I hope this isn’t the beginnings of a new habit.
I would probably associate it with the start of teething since my son started to teethe at this age :)…
Could be teething, could be related to separation anxiety. In either case it’s normal, although I know that’s little comfort when you’re both awake in the middle of the night…
I think you might both be right. She’s drooling more than ever (I think I need to buy more bibs) which would point towards teething. And all day today she was unusually clingy and wanted to be with me all the time, which would point towards separation anxiety. Either way I hope she’s done with it soon!
