All done now.<\/p>\n<p>Pattern: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/de-nada\">De nada<\/a>. Yarn: a random find from Tradera.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_5\/4080_shawl_6.jpg\" class=\"x6y45\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a lacy section and a section with a kind of broken ribbing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_5\/4080_shawl_3.jpg\" class=\"x6y45\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The lacy section is more striking, but the ribbing has its place. Without it, the whole thing would look more boring.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_5\/4080_shawl_4.jpg\" class=\"x6y45\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The pattern photos showed the shawl blocked into a triangle shape, but mine would not stretch into a triangle even if I tried. I did block and pin it more forcefully than I usually do, because it was so shapeless otherwise, but there is no way that edge can be straightened.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_5\/4080_shawl_2.jpg\" class=\"x45y6\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The curve is a good thing. A straight-edged triangle might look better when the shawl is lying flat, but a curved shawl fits much better over my shoulders.
