To anything, for that matter. We don&rsquo;t &ldquo;do&rdquo; allergies in our family. Allergies are for other people, for people with bad genes, generally weak constitutions and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hygiene_hypothesis\">too-clean homes<\/a>. But Adrian obviously doesn&rsquo;t have any bad genes (since he got them from us), and it&rsquo;s obviously not due to excessive hygiene either (since he had his allergy pretty much from birth).\n<\/p>\n<p>\nOne of Eric&rsquo;s siblings has some minor allergies, and nobody on my side has any. When I grew up we knew exactly one allergic kid. I&rsquo;ve read in various places that (food) allergies are far more common than they used to be.
