{"id":18568,"date":"2024-02-26T23:13:03","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T22:13:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.toomik.net\/helen\/blog\/?p=18568"},"modified":"2024-03-08T23:28:22","modified_gmt":"2024-03-08T22:28:22","slug":"daily_3295_-_stoten_day_1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.toomik.net\/helen\/blog\/2024\/02\/26\/daily_3295_-_stoten_day_1\/","title":{"rendered":"Daily: 3295 &#8211; St\u00f6ten, day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here we are, skiing and snowboarding in St\u00f6ten.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_4\/3295_Stoten_8.jpg\" class=\"x6y45\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Adrian went straight to the snowboard option this year and managed it like a pro.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_4\/3295_Stoten_4.jpg\" class=\"x45y6\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ingrid wasn&#8217;t feeling a 100% so she took an easy day today and stuck to skis &#8211; and even went so far as to go down the blue pistes with me, instead of challenging herself on the red and black slopes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_4\/3295_Stoten_9.jpg\" class=\"x45y6\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Adrian gliding past our house in the background (and our car is also among the ones parked in the background). We could probably save money by living further away, but the convenience of being easy walking distance from the slopes is unbeatable. Someone feels tired and wants to go home early? Someone wants to sleep in and join us a bit later? No problem. No driving, no need to manage who&#8217;s where when.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_4\/3295_Stoten_7.jpg\" class=\"x6y45\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Eric and Adrian stayed in the lower, broader, green slopes, while Ingrid and I took the big lift up to the top. This is her:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/helen\/blog\/images\/daily_4\/3295_Stoten_2.jpg\" class=\"x6y45\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The weather conditions at the top were pretty bad, with low clouds and a fair bit of wind. At times it was difficult to see where the pistes even started.
