Ah, but Swedish waffles are way better than Belgian ones! Light, slightly crispy, and not too sweet, so you can eat lots. Belgian waffles (as I remember them) almost had lumps of sugar in them.

Yes, the lumps of sugar thing is true. And they’re thicker and softer. When I first arrived here I couldn’t get over the fact that every underground station was filled with a sickly sweet smell, as they all have waffle stands. Now I hardly even notice.
