I’m glad to hear that! So what if it takes a few years for the third one to be published. That’s just another good reason to re-read the first two.

I realize this is a very old article, but i thought i should clear something up. Tony Daniel is a professor at my school, the University of Texas at Dallas. While the previous publisher may not commit to a 3rd book, Tony has made clear to us that he is still working on the third book in the series. There is hope yet.

We’ve got to get the word out about this series to every Sci-fi fan. Metaplanetary is the most original and compelling work I’ve read in years.

I guess we can always spread the word and encourage more people to buy the first two books, and perhaps make the publisher change their mind!

Bad news, I’m afraid. The third book will not be published due to poor sales. I am a huge fan of Tony Daniel (the short story “A Dry, Quiet War” is my favorite) and I love this series. I think that there should be a law preventing publishers from failing to publish an entire series.
